Thank you to all the voters who participated in the recent NYBA Board of Directors election that closed December 19th!

We're happy to share the results of the election. With five candidates running for the five seats, the results are as expected! Please welcome our newly-elected Directors: 

Paul Groesbeck - Irwin Yacht Sales  (re-elected to Board)
Ken Monaghan - Seattle Yachts   (re-elected to Board)
Kern Dillard - Victory Boat Sales   
Gretchen Miles - Waterline Boats  
Capt. Robert Heay - NW Yachtnet  

The new Board will meet on January 14th, 2026 for their first Board meeting. At the December Board meeting this year, the Executive Committee filled the vacated seat of Secretary (formerly held by Ben Johnson) and appointed Byron Shirley to the role. The Executive Committee is as follows:

Vice President: Ray Prokorym - Worth Avenue Yachts

Treasurer: Ken Monaghan - Seattle Yachts

Secretary: Byron Shirley - Seattle Yachts

Past President: Harry Walp

A huge thank you to our departing Board Members, Kevin Blake, Ben Johnson, and Tony Witek. All three have generously volunteered their time over the years - including service on the Executive Committee, Government Affairs Committee, and Boat Show Committee. We apperciate the time and energy they have contributed to NYBA's success.
